Samuele Giacometti with his enterprise Sadilegno thanks to the “Studio, progettazione e stesura della prima Rete d’imprese della filiera foresta-legno in Alta Carnia (UD) (Analysis, plan and draft of the first business Network connecting the wood to the market in the high part of Carnia (UD))” would like to create the first business network connecting the wood to the market in Italy developing a model of the business network 12-to-many. With this business network, he aims at proposing to the Italian and international market wooden products and services with a high economic and social impact and a low environmental one. This innovative project is cofounded by the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and sponsored by INEA (Italian Institute for the agricultural economy), by Comunità Montana della Carnia (Mountain Community of Carnia), and by Italian PEFC.
Samuele has a more ambitious target: starting from environmental resources and local manpower to achieve new prosperity useful for all community against an unquestioning globalization of market, respecting present and future life.
For this reason, he collaborates with Enea (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) to:
- improve product quality in terms of technical characteristics affecting the expected quality according to the Quality Function Deployment (QFD);
- quantify traditional value of the product and its benefits using a scientific method certified by Enea, based on the QFD and employed for the Business Network;
- quantify environmental impact of the productive and logistical process connecting the wood to the market with a scientific method certified by Enea and based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
